about

Born and raised on the West Coast, it was almost inevitable that I’d develop an interest in Hip-Hop. But it wasn’t until my time at the University of Oregon where my interest evolved into a passion for documenting the culture and its artists.

During my time in college, I dedicated myself to connecting with and documenting Hip-Hop artists across the Pacific Northwest. At the same time, I contributed to cannabis journalism through Green Eugene, where I served as a writer, photographer, and eventually Editor-in-Chief.

Additionally, I’ve done work as an automobile photographer, shooting at local car meets and bigger car shows, such as the 2025 Northwest Lowrider Supershow in Portland, OR.

My work led me to engage with both local and nationally recognized Hip-Hop artists, including Nef The Pharaoh, The Luniz, and Stunna Girl. All of these experiences helped sharpen my skills as both a journalist and a storyteller.

I completed my time at the University of Oregon by earning a Master’s degree in Journalism, and completing a mini-documentary on a local producer/audio engineer—and close friend—Spaceman (available here).

Today, I continue documenting the Hip-Hop scene in the Pacific Northwest through freelance work and independent publishing. Recently, I resigned from my job as Morning News Producer at KVAL-TV and relocated to the Seattle area, after spending roughly six years in Eugene, OR.

So to anyone reading, if you know of any media related jobs or opportunities happening in the Seattle area, please let me know! I am hungry and ready to get to work in my new city!
